"I am INNOCENT", I pleaded..
"I wanna hear no more", they declared.
"I don't lie Your Honor..only a handful of them,
And this ain't the occasion", the naked truth..
"Don't You say a word..
Have you any Proof?", the skepticism.
I muster a witness, the ray of hope.
The court waits on, the patience
He arrives on scene..the palpitation.
He says Nothing..the disappointment.
A silence....
More silence........
"You are GUILTY
until proven INNOCENT", the verdict.
"Dejected, hopeless,
Deflated, scarred", the state of mind.
No lawyers,
No trials,
One man's Silence
against the Other....
Trust?? Oh ! the sheer absence!
Truth?? Oh the silent cover!
Just a little prayer for Thee..
